Chapel Petrassi is a contemporary design and manufacturing label founded by Paris born Marie-Charlotte Bassi and Italian artist Diego Petroso specialized in handcrafted sculptural-furniture, prototypes
and applied arts.
Based on multi-disciplinary and experimental approach, Chapel Petrassi's furniture are characterized by a strong contemporary
identity and use different languages and visual codes such as architecture, contemporary art and graphic design. Craft and
tradition merge with aspects and visions of the contemporary
culture. All designs are entirely handmade in Italy in the family-owned factory founded in 1968 with a special team of Italian skilled artisans and master craftsmen.
Chapel Petrassi’s projects have been presented in different institutions and international exhibitions such as Klokgebouw at Dutch Design Week (Eindhoven, 2015); Ventura Lambrate 2016 during FuoriSalone in Milan (Milan, 2016); Objects of Desire exhibition at Design Museum Of Helsinki (Helsinki, 2016); Venice Design 2016 curated by Dutch non-profit organization Global Arts Affairs Foundation during 15th International Venice Architecture Biennale 2016 (Venice, 2016); Tent London at London Design Festival (London, 2016); 5Vie District at FuoriSalone (Milan, 2017).
